Breeders' Cup Horse Racing

This year the Breeders' Cup World Thoroughbred Championships will be held on October 30th at Lone Star Park near Dallas, Texas. It will be the 21st running of the eight race series worth a total of $14 million in purse money and all the top horses from North America and Europe are expected to compete. In the USA, NBC will once again televise the entire event from 1:00 to 6:00pm Eastern time.

With just less than two months to go, the contender lists are starting to take shape. Below is a list of the races with distance, purse, post time, and a link profiles for the top contenders in each. Expect these lists to change a lot over the next two months as the major prep races are run and decisions are made by the trainers and owners about who to send.
